Class Description
Classes are a great way to learn ballroom dancing in a social environment. Whether you want to come along with friends for a social evening or meet new people, or even just to find a new way of keeping fit whilst learning a new skill.
Additional services
One to one tuition
Private lessons are also available and can
be booked directly through me either via
email or telephone. A private lesson
is a great opportunity for you to learn at
your own pace and with just either yourself, you and your partner
or a small group of friends in the lesson you
can learn so much more in a short space of
time. You can also use private lessons
to recap what you have learnt or catch up
what you have missed out on in the classes.
Private lessons also enable you to focus on technique and posture in much more detail than is covered in a class situation. Whether you want to polish up for a special occasion, work towards taking your medals or prepare yourself for a future competition, it is a great way to fine tune your dancing.
'I have been dancing for 10 years, yet since starting private lessons with Kylie less than a year ago, others have commented on the vast improvement in my style and technique' Lynn Toynton
Wedding first dance lessons
Impress all your guests on your big
day by performing your very own
choreographed dance routine. Just
choose your favourite piece of music,
whether you want something slow and romantic
or something more energetic, I will
choreograph a routine perfectly to suit your
song choice. Whether you enjoy dancing
already or have never danced before wedding
first dance lessons can turn your two left
feet into dancing feet.
''Our first dance was everything it should be thanks to Kylie's wonderful coaching. Kylie choreographed a wonderful cha cha cha for Oscar ( a complete beginner ) and I to impress our wedding guests with. Her patience and creativity enabled us to put on a show with a routine that allowed each of us to dance to our abilities - and after only 4 sessions! I would recommend Kylie to anyone looking for something different for that awkward first dance'' Shahira Brennan
'Strictly' events in the Workplace
Why not get your work colleagues involved in
a 'Strictly' style event at your workplace.
If you find you are chatting at your desks at
the prospect of being able to learn the dances
and routines just like the celebrities do then
contact me directly to get something up and
running. Whether you want to be involved
yourselves in an organised competition, arrange
for your workplace to take part in a workshop
especially for you and your colleagues, arrange
for one of your colleagues/managers to perform a
live demonstration with me as their partner or
want a professional dancing couple to come along
and perform at one of your conferences/events
the choice is yours.
Special Occasions Wedding first dance lessons are proving very popular now as couples want to impress their guests on their special day. This can also be an option on any type of special occasion. If you have a wedding anniversary or special birthday party that you want to celebrate with friends and family you can impress your guests with a surprise dance on the night. Whether you would like to perform the dance with your partner or would like me to be your partner for the night the choice is yours. Its a fantastic way to wow your guests.
Ballroom in Schools With the huge success of 'Strictly' many young students are keen to learn Ballroom dancing. It is a great way of keeping fit and learning a new skill. It benefits our social skills and improves coordination and rythym. It can add a new dimension to dance education or offer students a different and exciting activity after school that both boys and girls can enjoy together. The classes I currently teach are hugely popular and we run mini competitions at the end of term so the students have something to work towards.
Gift Vouchers
Why not treat friends or familiy to a personal gift of a private lesson voucher. Whether you want to buy a gift of one session or more it is a great way to treat a friend or loved one.

Beginners: Ideal for those who are completely new to Ballroom dancing.
During the course of a month you will learn the most basic steps of a particular dance. The steps covered in this class are of bronze medal standard or of a social level. By the end of the month you will have an understanding of the rhythm of the dance and the beats at which the dance is counted. The very basic footwork and technique will also be taught. Not all of the steps that cover the beginners level will be learnt during one month but there is a chance to learn the remaining steps the next time the dance is covered. At the end of the month you will feel confident enough with a dance to perform it maybe as a first dance at your wedding, on a holiday cruise ship, socially at future dancing events or to impress that special someone.
Improvers; For those who know the basic moves and want to learn more. If the Beginners classes now have you hooked and you feel you want to continue that journey now to learn more and challenge yourself further then the Improvers class is the perfect next step for you.
The Improvers class covers steps of a silver medal standard. Assuming the participant knows the steps of bronze medal standard this class moves onto the next level covering steps that are slightly more challenging and exciting. In the Ballroom dances you will understand how to perform a combination of steps that will move around the room correctly enabling you to become more aware of the dancefloor and the direction you are moving around it. In the Latin dances you will learn more complex turns and faster moves.
Intermediate: Ballroom dancing experience required. An understanding of all basic ballroom dancing moves is recommended before attending an intermediate level class.
The steps covered in this class are of Gold medal standard and beyond. You will learn in the Latin dances more solo moves. Men will learn how to lead and ladies to follow more complex moves where the men and ladies steps can now be very different to each other and therefore require much stronger leads from the man and more awareness from the lady. Timing of movements become more challenging.
All levels: Suitable for
beginners and improvers

Street Dance for Kidz I also run street dance classes as an after school activity for young children in primary schools around Surrey. I run courses during term time immediately after school for an hour session. Over the duration of the course the children learn different types of street dance moves that are choreographed by myself with a popular song that is current and fun to dance to. The classes teach children coordination and rhythm. It is also an opportunity for children to socialize and have fun whilst learning a new skill. Dancing is also a great way for children to keep active.
''I love street dance. Its
challenging and enjoyable. I like
dancing with friends from school. I
always like the music and the routines that
Kylie makes up'' Joe Hendy
